تاثير اسانس آويشن بركانديدا آلبيكنس جداشده از بيماران مبتلابه كانديديازيس دهانی درشرايط آزمايشگاهی

خلاصه

زمينه و هدف: كانديدا آلبيكنس شايع ترين عامل اتيولوژيك بيماري هاي ناشي از مخمرهاي جـنس كانديـدا است. با توجه به اين كه مقاومت قارچ ها نسبت به تعدادي از داروهاي ضد قارچي افزايش يافته و بـسياري از اين داروها سمي و گران هستند، بررسي فرآورده هاي طبيعي گياهي موثر بر اين قارچ ها ضـروري اسـت . لـذا هدف اين تحقيق بررسي اثر اسانس آويشن بر ممانعت از رشد كانديدا آلبيكنس در شرايط آزمايشگاهي بود. روش بررسي: اين مطالعـه تجربـي بـر روي 50 بيمـار مبـتلا بـه كانديـديازيس دهـاني، صـورت گرفـت. نمونه هاي حاصل از سواپ در محيط سابورودكستروز آگار همراه با سيكلوهگزيميد و كلرآمفنيكل كشت و در نهايت با انجام آزمايشات تكميلي، تعداد 32 ايزوله به عنوان كانديدا آلبيكنس شناسايي و در محيط كشت رشد داده ندشد . سپس اسانس آويشن در غلظت هاي مختلف به اين محيط اضـافه و حـداقل غلظـت مهـار كننـده اسانس براي رقت هاي مختلف سوسپانسيوني حاوي كانديدا آلبيكنس . محاسبه گرديد 10 برابر با 390 0 /ميكروليتـر -2 10 و -1 يافته ها: حداقل غلظت مهار كننده اسانس آويشن براي رقت هاي 10، 10 به ترتيب برابر با 195 0 /و 0975 0 /ميكروليتر در هـر ميلـي ليتـر از -4 10 و -3 در هر ميلي ليتر و براي رقت محيط كشت تعيين شد. نتيجه گيري: اسانس آويشن داراي اثر ضد قارچي بسيار خوب عليه كانديدا آلبيكنس مي باشـد و در مقـادير نسبتاً كم مي تواند از رشد كانديدا آلبيكنس در محيط كشت جلوگيري نمايد

In vitro antifungal effect of Thymus vulgaris essence on Candida albicans isolated from patients with oral candidiasis

Abstract

Background and aims: Candida albicans is the most common etiologic agent of diseases caused by yeasts of Candida genus. The treatment of these infections is necessary because they may spread in neutropenic and immunosuppressed patients. Fungi resistance to some antifungal drugs is being increased. In addition, many of these drugs are toxic and expensive. Therefore, the study of natural plant products which can be effective against these fungi is necessary. Among the plants which have shown in vitro efficient biologic activity, is Thymus vulgaris. Thus the aim of this research was to study the inhibitory effect of Thymus vulgaris essence on of Candida albicans growth. Methods: In this research, fifty patients with oral candidiasis were studied. The obtained swab samples were cultured on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar supplemented with cycloheximide and chloramphenicol (SCC) medium, finally with performance of supplementary tests. 32 isolates were recognized as Candida albicans. Then we added Thymus vulgaris essence to SCC medium in different concentrations and the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of the essence was accounted for different suspension dilutions of Candida albicans. Results: The MIC of the Thymus vulgaris essence for the dilutions of 100, 10-1 and 10-2 of Candida albicans was 0.390µl/ medium and for dilutions of 10-3 and 10-4 were 0.195 and 0.0975 µl/ medium. Conclusion: The Thymus vulgaris essence has a very good antifungal effect against Candida albicans so that low amounts it can inhibit Candida albicans growth.
